Establishment of a connection point

On this page you can view the theoretical process of establishment of a connection point, and your tasks in this context.

Definition of a connection point: A point on the gas distribution pipeline, which either exists, or is being built, from which the natural gas can be transmitted to the applicant’s real property by building a new distribution pipe and/or a branch.

Tasks related to TIGÁZ-owned gas networks:

  • Those applicants are entitled to a connection point who have entered into an agreement with TIGÁZ-DSO Kft. Type of agreement: Connection Contract.
  • In the case of the gas networks owned by TIGÁZ-DSO Kft., the connection point is established by TIGÁZ-DSO Kft. following the payment of the connection fee stated in the Connection Contract.

Tasks in the case of TIGÁZ-DSO-owned gas networks:

  • If the gas network is owned by a municipality or any other legal entity or a natural person, then an agreement must be concluded with the owner, and the connection fee is also payable to the owner. In such networks, the owner builds the connection point.

Existing connection point (stub):

If a pipe branch has already been established to the real property earlier, then the real property is considered supplied, i.e., the connection point technically exists. The owner’s consent is required for connection even in such cases.

You can find further information, procedure in settlements not yet connected to the gas supply related to the topic described above here.
