Connection contract
On this page you will learn about the connection contract and your tasks related to its conclusion.
The gas distribution company enters into a connection contract for enabling the consumers to connect to the network, i.e., to provide the opportunity to purchase natural gas and satisfy any additional gas demand. The consumer must pay a connection fee for the connection and the additional gas demand pursuant to the applicable ministerial decree. The gas quantity based on which the connection fee is calculated is called capacity and is measured in: m3/hour. By paying the connection fee, the consumer obtains eligibility to connect to the distribution system and to satisfy any additional gas demand at the particular consumption site. Following the collection of the connection fee, the distributor must facilitate connection to the specific consumption site with a gas capacity, for which the connection fee was paid. The payment of the connection fee enables a particular consumption site to connect to the distribution system and satisfy any additional gas demand regardless of the consumer, i.e., any change of consumers at a particular consumption site does not affect connection to the distribution system with no change in the gas demand.
The conclusion of a connection contract must be requested at our natural gas distribution unit, competent according to the consumption site. Our distribution unit will give you detailed information in relation to the specific case.
The Contract sample used by our company is contained in the Natural Gas Distribution Business Regulations.
Important! If the gas network is owned by a municipality or any other legal entity or a natural person, then an agreement must be concluded with the owner with regard to the establishment of the connection point and the price of connection is also payable to the owner.
